The mission of the Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education (the HKAGE) is to secure appropriate learning and development opportunities for gifted students, aged 10 to 18 years.

The HKAGE invites primary school principals, teachers, school social workers and school educational psychologists to nominate their gifted students to join the HKAGE.

Each Primary school can nominate up to SIX gifted students of appropriate age* who display outstanding performance or great potential in the following domains. Schools are recommended to nominate up to three students for each domain. EACH NOMINEE CAN BE NOMINATED FOR ONE DOMAIN ONLY. Full members can apply for most courses without domain specific requirements. To allow more potential gifted students to benefit from our programmes, we encourage schools to nominate new students. Existing full or preliminary members shall not be re-nominated.

*The age of the nominated primary students should be 10 or above as of 31 August 2018 (i.e. born on or before 31 August 2008) and study at Hong Kong primary schools in the school year 2017/18.
