As part of the Johns Hopkins University, Center for Talented Youth (CTY) conducts the oldest and most extensive university-based Talent Search worldwide by offering above-grade level testing to students in grades 2 through 8. For qualified advanced students, CTY offers challenging summer and online courses as well as family academic programs.

Program for the Gifted and Talented, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), organizes Spring, Summer and Winter Programs each year. A wide variety of courses and workshops are open to application for Primary 3 through Secondary 6 students. The courses are designed to provide diverse stimulating and highly challenging out-of-school learning opportunities for gifted students, and aims to help them explore and develop their talents and potential in an enriched learning environment. Instructors are professors and lecturers of CUHK, experienced teachers in gifted education, and experts in different professions. The Department of Music, founded in 1973, has always been committed to providing an excellent environment for the training of professional musicians for over 40 years. Its encourage a synthesis of practical skills, contextual knowledge, and creativity. On our academic staff list, there are 18 full-time academic faculty members, and over 100 part-time and adjunct lecturers. There are over 400 students enrolled in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.In addition to sponsoring concerts and lectures by faculty members, students, and distinguished visiting artists from around the world, the Department supports several large ensembles, including the Hong Kong Baptist University Symphony Orchestra, the Collegium Musicum Hong Kong (CMHK), the Hong Kong Baptist University Choir (BUC), the Cantoría Hong Kong, and a number of chamber music and world-music groups. These groups present regular concerts on campus and at other public venues in Hong Kong and abroad. Degrees offered: Associate Degree in Music Studies, Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Music, Bachelor of Music (Hons.) in Creative Industries, Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Music Studies, and Master of Arts in Music.

The Center for the Development of the Gifted and Talented (CDGT), HKUST offers gifted learners with intensive and accelerated learning opportunities through specialized and comprehensive programs.
The "Secondary Schools – HKUST Dual Program" is a 3-level structured program run during term time, while the Enrichment Program for Gifted Learners (EPGL) is offered in the summer. Both programs aim to nurture students who are gifted or have high potential in different STEM areas of study at an accelerated pace, broaden their knowledge and let them experience the teaching style and learning environment of a university under the guidance of HKUST’s faculty.
The Kids@UST Science and Mathematics Workshop offers senior primary school students with experiential learning opportunities to stimulate their interests in Science & Mathematics and develop their thinking abilities.
