For Students

Math Safari in Singapore 2019 (ILO/013)

Online application deadline: 25 February 2019 (Monday)

This is a tailor-made biennial overseas programme co-organised by the HKAGE and Raffles Institution for our student members which will be held in 2019 Easter holiday.  The comprehensive overseas programme aims to

  • experience learning in another country and enhance student members’ knowledge in the respective area of study; and
  • develop friendship, ideally long term, with overseas gifted students and gifted education professionals and continue to share their learning experience with each other; and
  • promote cultural exchange while enhancing their academic development; and
  • widen their scope of learning experiences and explore their role as a global citizen.

Raffles Institution (RI), founded in 1823, is the oldest school and centre for pre-tertiary learning in Singapore. It is an independent school in Singapore offering the Raffles Programme, an integrated 6-year programme, for boys (aged 13 to 18) and girls (aged 17 to 18) since 2004. RI was among the first schools to receive the Ministry of Education's School Excellence Award, which recognises "excellence in both education processes and outcomes". RI was awarded the Singapore Quality Award in 2011. It was the third secondary school to win the SQA after Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Hwa Chong Institution.
