Requirements of student membership for primary students

Preliminary to Full Membership

To allow more potential gifted students to benefit from our programmes, a new screening arrangement was implemented from 2016/17. Student nominees shortlisted will become our preliminary student members who are eligible to participate in designated programmes. In order to obtain full membership, students are required to meet the related programme completion requirements within the first Student Learning Profile (SLP) review period (Please click here for more information about the Student Learning Profile). The review period runs from 1 September each year to 31 August of the following year. Student members who join the HKAGE during the review period must fulfill the yearly requirement within the period from the date of admission to the end of the review period of the subsequent year.

(For example, a student member who is admitted in January 2017 will have to meet the yearly requirement within the period from January 2017 to 31 August 2018.)
