Primary School Nomination 2014-15

The selection results of Primary School Nomination 2015-15 have been sent to the School Nominating Officer by post on 9 January 2015.

The date of the orientation ceremony for the new student members will be held on 7 February 2015 (Saturday).

Last school year, we extended our provision to a greater number of primary students and launched the second round of primary school nomination involving around 360 schools. This year’s primary school nomination will start in September and will include all the primary schools in Hong Kong.

Each Primary schoolcan nominate up to six gifted students from Primary 4 to 6 who display outstanding performance or great potential in the following domains. Schools are recommended to nominate up to three students for each domain.

All nominations must be made using the Online Platform available from 9:00 a.m., 26 September 2014 (Friday). The nomination deadline is at 5:00 p.m., 27 October 2014 (Monday)

Online Nomination Platform

The Online Nomination Platform is used in the nomination process. It can be accessed at http://nomination.hkage.org.hk. The benefits are as follows:

EASY TO USE
  • Easy access to information by schools and HKAGE authorized persons
  • It takes only a few steps to complete the forms
  • The HKAGE will demonstrate the process at the briefing sessions and a user manual can be downloaded from the Platform or the HKAGE website
CONVENIENT
  • Schools and parents can track the data submission process online
  • There is electronic notification of nomination status and related reminders
SECURE
  • The level of data accuracy and protection is enhanced
ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY
  • It reduces the use of paper
Please refer to the Primary School Nomination invitation letter for the username and password assigned to your school Nominating Officer. Please complete the online nomination and return the Submission Checklist with supporting documents before the nomination deadline at 5:00 p.m., 27 October 2014 (Monday).

Briefing Session

Briefing session will be held on 26 September 2014 (Friday) for the school principals and school representatives.

The session will cover the following topics:

  • Learning opportunities at the HKAGE
  • Identification and selection of the gifted
  • Overview of Primary School Nomination
  • Demonstration of the Online Nomination Platform

Admission Results Announcement

Nominating Officers will be informed in writing of of the admitted students in January 2015. Students will each receive an Admission Letter through their school.

All admitted students are required to fulfill the yearly requirement on programme/activity completion in order to sustain their membership for the subsequent years. For details, please visit the HKAGE website at http://ge.hkage.org.hk/en/students/student-membership.


Student Orientation

An orientation ceremony will be held as a warm welcome to the new student members on 7 February 2015 (Saturday). New student members please apply online before the application deadline.
