AIMS

The HKAGE will hold the 2nd Student Biennial Conference in the Fall of 2015.  The Conference aims to:

  • showcase their study projects to demonstrate their learning achievements;
  • facilitate intellectual exchange among students; and
  • inspire students to further develop their study projects through exchanging ideas with renowned academics in the field.

PHASE I : CALL FOR STUDY PROJECTS

All secondary school students are encouraged to submit their Study Project Proposals in one of the following fields and do the online application through the HKAGE Online Application Platform on a school or a student basis. Students are welcome to submit their proposals on an individual basis or as a group. The submitted proposals could be new study projects or projects in connection with students’ learning experience at or outside school. Study projects that have been released in any journal, newspaper, website, magazine, etc., or have been submitted and awarded in any competition are also welcome.  The selected papers will be presented at the Conference through either oral or poster presentation.

Academics and professionals in the above-mentioned fields are invited to form the Panel of Adjudicators to select the best proposals and papers. Feedback will be given to the selected proposals to facilitate the preparation of the final papers.

Lecturer, Department of Sports Science and Physical Education,The Chinese University of Hong Kong

Former Olympic Games Hong Kong Representative (Triathlon)

Mr Daniel Lee was the first Chinese to qualify for the Triathlon at the Olympic Games. He competed in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. He is also a medalist in the Asian Games, All China Games and Asian Beach Games. Having ranked Asia’s No.1 triathlete from 2008 to 2010, he is now a lecturer of the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education of CUHK. He is also a part-time PhD student, focusing on compression garments and exercise performance. Besides, Mr Lee serves as a trainer of CUHK Marathon Team and board member of the Shaw College Sports and Recreation Committee.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

Students who demonstrate outstanding performance in study projects will be admitted as HKAGE student members through the “Nurturing the Gifted Scheme”.
